MagCode Power Port 12V (max. 15A)

The Power Port is permanently wired to a battery in a easily accessible location, and the MagCode Power Clip then attaches magnetically to it to charge the battery from an IP65 charger (max. 15A). These magnetic clips also act as as a 'break-away' connector as they will safely separate and prevent damage if the vehicle is moved with the charger still connected.

Magnets in the Power Port and Power Clip ensure contact is made between the two parts of the connector as well as providing a switching function. Moulded features in the clip and port ensure correct polarity alignment of the contacts, and the flat contacts only carry power when the moveable plate in the port is magnetised by the magnets in the clip. Totally short-circuit-proof, the MagCode® Power System is designed to avoid other metal objects or permanent magnets inadvertently energising the contacts.

The Power Port can be mounted in a 28/29mm panel hole and is secured using a plastic nut. It is supplied with accessories to enable a variety of mounting options:

• Mounting with no bezel - Maximum panel thickness 10mm
• Mounting with simple ring bezel - Maximum panel thickness 4-7mm (depending on whether 1 or 2 bezel rings are used)
• Mounting inside hinged cover - Maximum panel thickness 7mm
